i'm a software engineer at proximal. i work on aria, the ai copilot inside our solar asset-management platform. chat that calls real tools, and a voice buddy that flies around the screen explaining what you're looking at. the cursor following you right now? little sibling. same family.
data tools that finish
a cli that turns plain english into clean datasets. a sentiment server that plugs straight into tableau desktop. an mbta reliability model that hit 98.5% on 850k+ rows. small scopes, shipped things.

the why
my dad told me something before i ever wrote a line of code: “knowledge isn’t power until it’s applied.” i’m still learning what that means. every project here started the same way: a small problem i couldn’t leave alone, and the itch to build my way out of it.
so i keep it simple: start small, ship early, listen. feedback is free, and it has taught me more than any course. we all have the same models now, and the only thing i can offer is what i build with them.
and i think software is allowed to be fun. that’s why this site has a cursor with a personality instead of another dark-mode hero section.

ran a small fitness coaching side hustle through business school, then wrote it up as a management case study under a professor's guidance. to his surprise, the university kept it around to teach.
all he really did was ask "why not?"

couldn't find the datasets he needed on kaggle, so he put together a little cli data copilot that makes them from plain english. two years later nvidia open-sourced a tool for the same problem.
turns out it wasn't just his itch.
